Planning a Wedding Bar in North Kerala: A Simple Timeline
A wedding bar is easy to enjoy and surprisingly easy to plan, as long as the decisions come in the right order. This timeline works for weddings and receptions across North Kerala.
Three to four months before
Fix the venue and the date first, because everything else depends on them. Then contact us with the date, the place, the expected guest count and the functions you would like the bar to cover. Peak wedding dates fill early, so an early enquiry protects your date.
This is also the time to decide whether you want a mocktail bar, a mixed bar or a bar with live flair, and to set a rough budget.
Eight to ten weeks before
Choose your package and agree the menu. Most weddings use Grand or Elite, with mocktails running through the daytime functions. Look at the drink menu, compare packages on the services page and decide on any signature drink for the couple.
If your venue is in Wayanad or far from Naduvil, tell us now so we can plan the journey and the arrival time.
Six weeks before
Start the licence process if alcohol will be served. We work on a dry hire basis, which means you arrange the alcohol, and we guide you through the premises NOC and the Kerala Excise FL6 licence. Rules and fees can change, so ask us to walk you through the current steps. Our compliance post explains the background.
Four weeks before
Confirm the final guest estimate and the timings of every function. Share the venue contact, loading rules and parking. Decide where the counter will stand: visible, close to power, near ice and clear of the main walkway.
If it is monsoon season, arrange a roofed or sheltered position.
Special notes for North Kerala
In Wayanad, ghat roads and mist can slow travel, so we allow extra time and a covered counter. In Kasaragod and Kozhikode, longer drives from our base in Naduvil mean an earlier loading time. In Kannur, short distances make site visits easy.
From June to September, always plan for rain with a roofed position, and in the dry months consider where the evening breeze will reach the queue.
The week of the wedding
Reconfirm the headcount, the arrival time and the menu. Our team will check the glassware, prepare mixers and garnishes and pack the three counter units. Let any caterers, decorators and photographers know where the bar will stand.
On the day
We arrive early, assemble the counter in under ten minutes, style it and test every pour before guests arrive. During service, the bartenders keep the queue moving and handle requests politely. If you have booked flair, it usually marks the entrance of the couple or the start of the evening.
When the last toast is done, we clear the counter quietly.
Ready to start
The earlier you talk to us, the more choice you will have. Read about weddings in Kannur or Kozhikode, or go straight to the booking page.
